Access (locally ADS) series of distributed temperature sensors, developed by Bandweaver and encased and distributed by Shinwha Fire in Korea, are compact sensors, which employ an optical fiber as the sensor. Access DTS provides high-performance temperature sensing and alarm functionality with a MODBUS interface.
The Access system can probe the temperature at every 1m interval along the whole optical fiber up to 500m and 1500m with a temperature resolution better than 1°C. It also provides a series of alarm conditions such as a temperature maximum threshold and rate of temperature rise (ROR) threshold. Also as an essential fail-safe scheme, it can detect a fiber break condition.
