With its principal company’s introduction of the UK Sensa DTS (Distributed Temperature Sensing) System into the Korean market in the mid-2000s, Shinwha Electronics, the principal company of Shinwha Fire, first developed the DTS market in Korea and has continued expanding its DTS business market across the country, esp. to almost all the tunnels constructed throughout Korea. The DTS business has been turned over to Siemens Ltd. Seoul in late 2000s.

In the meantime, part of the DTS team of Siemens Ltd. Seoul has moved over to the current company, Shinwha Fire, and has started its own DTS business, esp. backed up by the high-quality DTS products and price competitiveness of Bandweaver Technologies in the U.K. and China. Presently, Bandweaver has the largest DTS manufacturing facilities at its factory in the world and has been manufacturing and distributing DTS products in the fieds of Fire, Security, Power, and Pipeline worldwide.
Shinwha Fire is one of the top sellers of DTS products in the Korean market currently and is developing the DTS marekt in the underground telecom, power, and multi-purpose cable culverts as the front runner, working with KT, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), and Seoul Facilities Corporation.
